Hello and welcome!

My name's Wendy.

I look forward to helping you with your garden and landscaping needs. 

This is really a passion project.

It was a little over ten years ago I moved to Tennessee from my lifelong home in the Pacific Northwest. There, most of my memories were formed on the hiking trails of the Columbia River Gorge and spending time in my grandmother's garden full of roses and all kinds of beautiful flowers.

Once in Tennessee, I was looking to make friends who also love spending time in nature and getting in the dirt. I searched for community gardens and found one within walking distance from home. Besides meeting some of my best friends there, I also found a love for growing food and flowers and caretaking all kinds of plants. That led to several years of working for local greenhouses, garden centers, a houseplant shop and a boutique landscaping company.

I'll never forget the time I joined the community garden members in sharing a presentation at the agricultural center to a room full of long-time farmers.  It was early into my experience and as I gushed about the way sweet potatoes grew in the ground, the farmers just smiled. They were clearly amused at my personal discovery of the magic of the earth that they had known and worked with for their whole lives.

While continuing to learn about how to care for plants I’ve also found a deep desire to do so in a way that cares for the health and wellbeing of all of nature.

To me this means understanding the link between soil health and plant health (and human health), considering how to help our pollinator friends and protect the wellbeing of our local fauna.

This means using organic and eco-friendly practices in dealing with pests and disease, learning about native and invasive species, and being guided by the wisdom and traditions of our local farmers and growers. 

I love the learning process as much as the physical work and it's a lifelong journey. It's my desire to bring mindfulness and attention to detail that blesses each client's home with a special touch so you can enjoy and take pride in your home's outdoor spaces. It's your oasis, and should feel peaceful and inspiring!

You won’t find me spraying chemical pesticides. I will help you with organic solutions and we will troubleshoot whatever may come up to keep your plants healthy. My vision is to serve like minded souls who want to see their yard glow and garden thrive. Whether that be fresh, beautiful annuals adorning your home in containers, a new landscape design, a vegetable garden, or whatever you might need for your yard and garden.

P.s. Over these past several years I've formed such sweet friendships with amazingly talented, hard-working and knowledgeable plant people. Some of them will be helping me out on larger projects.
